Suffolk Book League’s Chosen Charity - Let's Talk Reading

We want to thank Suffolk Book League and ‘Let's Talk Reading’ for the books donated to Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy. They have made a deeper impact than words can capture. Each book has opened a door for our students -- some to language, some to imagination, and some simply to moments of calm and joy. For many of our children, learning can feel overwhelming, but these books provide a safe, gentle way to explore new ideas and express themselves. Our Library was significantly lacking in sensory explorative books that many of our readers thrive on. It is with thanks to your generosity that our Library has grown and helped to widen our students’ love of reading.

Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy is a diverse school. We strive to offer our students a bespoke curriculum that adheres to their needs. With this donation of books and voluntary reading sessions, our students have been able to access a wider and exciting journey into the world of books and reading. Our staff have commented on the wide variety of books that students are now able to explore and the benefit of having visitors come into the school and read with our children. These opportunities are so incredibly valuable to both our students and staff.
