About the Event
Rebecca Goss is a prize-winning poet, tutor and mentor. She grew up in Suffolk and, after some time away, returned to live here in 2013. She has an MA from Cardiff University and a PhD by Publication from UEA. She has published four critically acclaimed collections of poetry: The Anatomy of Structures (Flambard Press, 2010), Her Birth (Carcanet, 2013), Girl (Carcanet, 2019), Latch (Carcanet, 2023) and Carousel (Guillemot Press, 2018), a pamphlet with photographer Chris Routledge. Her poems are touchingly direct, deceptively simple with striking, poignant images. They are often concerned with personal experiences and she intimately considers matters of birth and death. Here’s a short video of Rebecca talking about the creation of Latch and reading a poem from it here
