About the Event
Melissa Harrison is a novelist, nature writer, podcaster and children’s author. She writes for the FT Weekend, the Guardian and New Statesman and contributes a Nature Notebook column to The Times. The Stubborn Light of Things, a collection of her pieces, was East Anglian Book of the Year. Her previous books have been shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award and longlisted for the Women’s Prize (At Hawthorn Time) and shortlisted and longlisted for the Wainwright Prize (Homecoming and Rain). Her novel All Among the Barley was the UK winner of the European Union Prize for Literature. We are delighted that this event will coincide with the release of the paperback of her acclaimed 2026 novel The Given World.
