About the Event

Megan Hunter is a prize-winning novelist, poet, essayist, dramatist and screenwriter. She is a Bye-Fellow at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge and has written for the TLS, The White Review, LitHub, Vogue and elsewhere. Her debut novel The End We Start From (2017), a young mother’s story after a climate catastrophe, was adapted for the screen starring Jodie Comer. Next she published The Harpy (2020), a contemporary novel about revenge and metamorphosis which she is now adapting for film, alongside other screenwriting projects. She will talk about her latest novel Days of Light (2025) which focuses on six days over six decades from World War II to the present day and is loosely inspired by the Bloomsbury group.
