About the Event
Luke Wright is one of the most fêted and indefatigable live poets of his generation. He performs in award-winning stand-up poetry shows, for festivals, national and international tours and broadcasts on BBC radio. He is the regular warm-up artist for Dr John Cooper Clarke, the poet who was his initial inspiration.
Luke received rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his sell-out show ‘Silver Jubilee’, a celebration of ‘25 years of service on the literary frontline’. He is the winner of three Saboteur Awards as well as a Fringe First stage award for acting excellence. His own work is witty, humorous, often moving and provocative. We are delighted that he will perform his poetry for us. Read more about Luke’s publications here
