About the Event
Kate Sawyer grew up in Bury St Edmunds and worked as an actor and producer before turning her hand to fiction. She has previously written for theatre and short-film.
Having lived in South London for the best part of two decades Kate recently returned to East Anglia to have her first child as a solo mother by choice.
She is coming to Suffolk Book League to talk about her debut novel, The Stranding (Coronet: 2021) A novel of loss and hope about a woman who hides from the end of the world in the belly of a whale.
