About the Event
We are sorry to announce that Hannah Lowe has asked to postpone her event.
We are delighted, however, that at short notice, Blake Morrison is able to accept our invitation to speak to us.
On Thursday 11th May, Blake will be in conversation about his new book Two Sisters (2023) and Skin & Blister (2023), the series of poems he wrote after the premature death of his sister, Gill. This new memoir follows on from the prizewinning And when did you last see your father? (1993) and Things my Mother Never Told Me (2003). A Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and former Chair of the Poetry Book Society and Vice-Chair of PEN, Blake has written fiction, poetry, journalism, literary criticism and libretti, as well as adapting plays for the stage. He has been Professor of Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College since 2003. There’s more about his new memoir here. https://blakemorrison.net/two-sisters/
