About the Event
‘This project began not as a guide or a cookbook, but as a search for stories’ – Adam Tully

Suffolk: A Story Told Through Food, Drink and People brings together the stories of thirty independent restaurants, cafés, pubs, vineyards, breweries and makers from across the county. Created over a year by Adam Tully and photographer and designer Hannah Dewar, it draws on more than one hundred hours of conversations with the people behind Suffolk’s food and drink scene. Beautifully photographed throughout, it also includes 26 recipes shared by those featured. At its heart, Suffolk Story is a celebration of the people, places and personalities shaping the county’s food and drink culture. It has already won the 2026 Velvet ‘Food and Drink Hero’ Award. At a festive time of year, we are delighted to hear the story behind Suffolk Story.
